Skulltrail and Core-i7

Since the launched of Intel's latest line of processors, Core-i7, many have been asking when will Intel Skulltrail support the Core-i7? For you people who don't know what Intel Skulltrail is, Skulltrail is the motherboard produced by Intel that can accomodate two processors at a time. I know the innovation of placing 2 processors in a single computer goes way back to time of Pentium II. The difference between the old multi-processor platforms and the Intel Skulltrail, is that previous multi-processor platforms can only accomodate Server type processors, like Intel's Xeon product line. While Skulltrail can accomodate gaming processors like QX9775.

If you are aware or have been watching videos made by Trubitar on Youtube the Core-i7 aced the 3D-Mark Vantage in its standard clock. So if you are an avid gamer and money is like nothing to you, of course you want the best your money can buy. The best combination many enthusiast are talking about is the combination of the Core-i7 and the Skulltrail. And when I say many I mean MANY enthusiast are talking about this combo.

I'm sure Intel isn't deaf, hearing impared or something like that, so why the hell are they taking so long to release a Skulltrail that supports the Core-i7. If you take a closer look at it, it's a win-win situation for them because both elements in the setup belongs to them.

Web Host

Lately I have scouting the net to find a new free web host. In the past I have only chose those host that only offers blog hosting but now I want to find a full pledge web host, because if you are using only a blog host you are somewhat limited to their settings while if you turn to a full-pledged web host, you are the master of your site, you can make your design, have your own web mail, setup your own MySQL database, etc. So, in my search of a preferred web host I have come upon a free web host named 000webhost. As of the moment, I have been polishing my settings with 000webhost. I hope I can start using my 000webhost subdomain as soon possible. As soon as I set my new site at my new host i'll post a direct link here.

Lenovo W700d

Earlier this year Lenovo awed the industry when it launched its first Quad-Core laptop the Lenovo W700. The W700 is truly a beast when it comes to its specs:

- 17 inch display
- Quad Core processor
- DDR3 Memory
- 1 GB Nvidia QuadroFX Video Card
- RAID HDD / SSD
- Integrated Palm-Rest and Digitizer
- Support for Intel Turbo Memory

When you see specs like that in your laptop, what more could you ask for? Right? But for the engineers at Lenovo this wasn't enough. And with the improvement of the W700 in mind Lenovo has launced another monster laptop, which is the W700d. The W700d offers a much faster processor than the W700, because when buying the W700d you have the option to put a Core2Quad Extreme QX9300 inside your laptop and the most sought after feature of the W700d is its dual display feature. This is not a typo, the W700d offers to individual displays, the first one is your primary display which measures 17 inches and the other one is the retractable 10 inch display for you to increase your screen estate.

This laptop is perfect for those professionals who analyses tons of data, an example of the is the stock market people. This is also suitable for digital media practitioners because a larger screen estate means you can see more with less minimizing or moving of different windows. But of course this isn't paradise, all these features comes with a hefty price tag. The W700d sells for a whopping $3299(as of January 8, 2009) in the Lenovo website.

New Start

In reaction to the deletion of my previous blog which is hosted by Wordpress(huan22.wordpress.com). I have decided to start a new blog here at blogspot primarily due to their flexibility when it comes to placing Ads to generate some revenue from the blog.

But the main reason that I have decided to start from scratch, instead of importing my posts and comments from my previous blog, is that my previous blog has been under mishandling by one of my contributors. So to rebuild my image as a blogger I have decided to start from scratch and to take a solo flight in populating this blog with sensible and carefully thought-of posts.
